Account Manager
DARCI Creative is a Total Brand Agency based in Portsmouth, NH. Our tight-knit team works to support businesses across the United States through integrated marketing strategies and execution. We are looking for an Account Manager who will work to support our clients and our staff day-to-day and help us continue to elevate the work we do. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, focused, driven, and passionate about creating and managing great marketing.
Reports to the Managing Partner / VP, Client Experience + Brand Strategy.
The Account Manager is the linchpin between DARCI’s clients and our team, owning the client relationship and driving strategy forward. This role provides leadership within project teams, ensuring every deliverable supports client goals and reflects DARCI’s high standards. Account Managers are trusted advisors—clear communicators, proactive problem-solvers, and the go-to resource for clients and internal teams alike.
Responsibilities
Client Relationships
- Act as the primary relationship owner, trusted advisor, and advocate for client needs
- Work with the Account Coordinator (AC) to provide regular updates to clients on deliverables, deadlines, and project status
- Lead client meetings by opening the dialogue and recapping monthly marketing highlights
- Guide the presentation of departmental reports by supporting each team member as they present results and insights from their area, stepping in to provide clarification or backup for questions that arise.
- Oversee and handle contract scope management, and proactively identify opportunities to expand scope in alignment with client goals
- Ensure client satisfaction, retention, and profitability through strategic guidance and consistent results
Integrated Marketing Strategies
- Oversee agency work and client deliverables to ensure all work supports client business and marketing objectives
- Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that deliver measurable results
- Clearly articulate client goals and strategies internally and externally
- Learn and understand all facets of integrated marketing, and be able to speak at a high level about tactics and strategies
- Stay up to date on marketing best practices and bring proactive ideas to clients and the DARCI team
Internal Leadership
- Serve as the go-to for project teams—providing clarity, direction, and leadership on strategy, deliverables, and client priorities
- Oversee the work of internal staff to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables align with expectations
- Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams, connecting the dots between strategy, creative, and execution
- Jump in on marketing production (website updates, email creation, etc.) as needed to support the team during peak workloads
- Follow DARCI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) around client management, internal communications, file storage, and more
Agency Growth & Support
- Participate in new business opportunities, including research, proposal creation, and pitching
- Support DARCI’s marketing efforts through blogging, social media posts, and other contributions
- Uphold and promote DARCI’s integrated approach, connecting the dots across strategy, creative, and execution

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Account Management experience at a marketing agency
- Strong internal and external communication skills
- Strong public speaking / presentation skills
- Critical thinking / problem solving skills
The Details
Salary: $70,000 – 75,000
- Full-time, 36.5 hours per week
- Agency hours: 8:30am – 5pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:30am-1pm on Friday
- 401k, 4% company match

Location – Portsmouth, NH (Hybrid)
For the first 3 months, one day a week is required in-office, with other days remote. After 3 months, full remote is allowed with the understanding that there are occasional, required in-person meetings for the company and clients.
